AOC Monitors: 3 Year Warranty?

My two sisters needed computer monitors so I took them to a store called Computer Trends to purchase some monitors. They were selling AOC monitors at a price that could not be beat, plus they came with a 3-year warranty. We bought two and were on our merry way. Unfortunately, BOTH monitors started to show considerable deterioration within one year. The screen was so blurry that text was almost unreadable and was very hard on the eyes. In the meantime, the only store in town that sold them had closed. So, a year later we needed to replace monitors! Needless to say we didn't buy "AOC" brand again.
I would have felt bad cheating someone out of their $10 if we sold them one of these monitors. Instead, we took an axe to it and smashed it to pieces.
